So I'm one of those people who cannot eat breakfast straight away in the morning. (You wouldn't have thought it, but it's true!) I also can't stomach a really heavy breakfast, and I often choose to follow the sweeter breakfasts than the savoury. Which is why I LOVE making smoothie bowls - they are so quick to prepare the night before (you can literally just throw everything into a food processor, blend and keep int he fridge overnight), you can use whatever fruit needs eating up and they are so filled with goodness to keep your body happy and healthy for the rest of the day. Another thing which I absolutely love about these smoothie bowls is their high protein content. After hitting the gym in the morning, or doing any workout for that matter, it's so important to refuel your body with the food that it needs, and these smoothie bowls have 50g protein per portion. Plus, the protein is chocolate flavoured, which makes everything better, right? You will still also gain all the other nutrients and minerals from the fruit and cacao powder, but the greek yoghurt, almond butter and protein powder will satisfy your body until it receives it's next meal - I'm basically just giving your bodies a gift...
